Requirements
  • Prior experience working for an electrical contractor or electrical distributor, with demonstrated knowledge of electrical materials, equipment, and procurement processes; experience with mechanical or heating, ventilation, and air conditioning contractors or distributors, plumbing or piping contractors or distributors, fire protection or sprinkler systems, low-voltage, telecommunications, or structured cabling companies will also be considered.
  • Commercial and/or industrial project experience.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proactive, collaborative approach with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with Project Managers to plan and execute purchasing strategies aligned with project estimates and timelines.
  • Prepare, review, and issue purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to protect company interests.
  • Evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals and make recommendations.
  • Track and ensure timely receipt of contracts, insurance certificates, and required documentation.
  • Coordinate with Fleet, Logistics, and Project Teams on equipment and material needs.
  • Maintain accurate data in project and cost systems.
  • Support cost control and estimating initiatives through accurate reporting and insights.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Vista/Viewpoint is preferred.
  • Two or more years of purchasing or project support experience in the electrical industry is preferred.
  • Experience with low-voltage or wireless projects is preferred.
