Requirements
  • Associates degree with minimum of 4 years experience in a laboratory operations and equipment management position
  • Experience working within a lab and managing its operations
  • Experience working with a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work across all levels of the organization; independently and with minimal direction
Responsibilities
  • Overall responsibility for all company laboratory equipment assets
  • Drive continuous process improvement by proposing and executing lab operation procedure practices and efficiencies
  • Ensure laboratory facilities are operating safely and efficiently
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between internal stakeholders and relevant external service providers
  • On call lead for lab-based emergencies with ability to respond timely
  • Conduct training and orientation of laboratory procedures for all new users
  • Maintain Lab Asset tracking system for asset lifecycle management
  • Assist in securing or buying lab equipment from various vendors
  • Submit and track warranties and service contracts
  • Ensure the maintenance of clean and safe lab environments
  • Address lab issues and requests in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned

Umoja Biopharma is developing an integrated platform therapeutics that reprograms T cells in vivo to target and eliminate cancer cells, with a focus on treating solid tumors and hematological cancers.
