Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics…
  • 5 plus years of experience working in an engineering discipline
  • Experience collaborating between teams and ability to get things done cross functionally
  • Experience with physics of failure methods/modeling
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or other programming languages to drive data analytics
  • Ability to learn quickly, work independently and apply problem-solving skills to recommend actions that improve the business
  • Experience with statistical analysis software for reliability such as the ReliaSoft suite
  • Experience with vibration analysis
  • Experience working with hardware typically found in an autonomous vehicle: Radar, Lidar, Camera, Compute
Responsibilities
  • Work with cross functional design, manufacturing, and operations teams to ensure design for reliability best practices are employed during the design process
  • Develop and execute on root cause and corrective action procedures with respect to failed hardware. Identify design flaws, manufacturing defects, or external factors contributing to failures and interpret this information to enable design, manufacturing, or quality teams to focus on practical and effective corrective actions and/or process improvements
  • Design and/or update testing and validation procedures to assess the reliability of hardware components. This includes ordering mechanical simulations, conducting bench tests, and performing real-world testing under different environmental and accelerated operational conditions
