Requirements
  • Master Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Previous experience in development of aerospace or industrial product.
  • Knowledge of key aeronautical engines layout and architecture.
  • Fluency in English and Italian languages, both written and oral.
  • Experience with FEM tools (i.e. Patran, Hypermesh).
  • Good knowledge of 1D fluid network solutors (i.e. Flowmaster).
  • Good knowledge of Windows based tools.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work successfully in global team environment
  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute actively to studies and calculations devoted to get the best detailed thermal and fluid-dynamic secondary system design of new generation aero engines.
  • Collecting and giving feedback to partner/customer to improve the level of details of the 'thermal & secondary flows' analytical assessment.
  • Act proactively to study the most promising thermal & cooling Technologies to be introduced in the next gen engines.
  • Work within the team to define the Secondary Systems and Thermal Design validation process path.
  • Prepare the request for the experimental validation and analyze experimental and fielded engines’ data to improve design practices and rules.
  • Proactively support and coordinate activities with GEA global team to implement design corrective actions and product improvements.
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Interface the Avio Aero/GEA research network.

  • Basic experience in CAD tools.
  • Capability to work autonomously.
  • Passionate, curious and enthusiastic for engineering challenges.
