Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and seven years of progressively responsible program or project management experience, or a master's degree and six years of progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and demonstrated experience.
  • Five to seven years of cumulative experience should be in academic support, practice support, human resources, and/or finance positions.
  • Strong knowledge of administration and operations work.
  • Strong knowledge of financial processes, including budgeting and variance reporting.
  • Ability to understand and communicate multiple rules and regulatory practices.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, communication, and training skills.
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, negotiate, and delegate.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work for multiple simultaneous clients on tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with faculty, unclassified management, students, and research staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and experience in customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day finance and human resources operational support for undergraduate programs, regional campuses, and administrative groups while ensuring consistency, efficiency, and compliance with School of Nursing and university policies.
  • Oversee budgeting processes for assigned programs and campuses, including developing budget projections, monitoring expenditures, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports for leadership review and decision-making.
  • Reconcile School of Nursing budgets with the Provost’s Office and resolve discrepancies with central finance units.
  • Coordinate and support academic program operations to ensure compliance with faculty workload guidelines.
  • Coordinate documentation, track compliance metrics, and assist with reporting related to accreditation and regulatory requirements for undergraduate education programs.
  • Lead contract administration processes, including annual renewals and coordination of academic and operational agreements with School of Nursing leadership and central offices.
  • Collaborate with Program Directors and Campus Associate Deans to align faculty assignments with workload guidelines, compensation plans, and applicable contracts.
  • Identify and address operational system issues affecting education programs and represent the School of Nursing on university-wide committees and workgroups.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with internal departments and external stakeholders to support program and campus operations.
  • Serve as a liaison to regional campuses and external partners, ensuring alignment with School of Nursing standards and strategic goals.
  • Advise leadership on the interpretation and application of labor agreements, including APU, AFSCME, and RWU, and support program compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Dean for Strategic Operations and Senior Associate Dean for Finance and Administration on systems and processes related to faculty and staff compensation.
  • Assist in developing and implementing communications related to compensation practices within the School of Nursing.
  • Respond to faculty compensation inquiries, conduct audits as needed, and communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Participate in annual salary review and increase processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with institutional guidelines.
  • Directly supervise finance and operations staff supporting School of Nursing programs.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate staff in accordance with OHSU policies and procedures.
  • Assign and prioritize work related to operations, budgeting, and contract management.
  • Establish performance expectations and monitor quality, productivity, and service standards.
  • Support staff development through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives related to academic operations, financial management, and administrative process improvement.
  • Provide cross-functional support to broader School of Nursing administrative efforts as needed.
