Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, data integration and data transformation
  • 3+ years of experience managing data engineering teams
  • Strong experience with cloud-based data warehousing technologies such as SnowFlake and BigQuery
  • Highly proficient programming skills in SQL and Python
  • Extensive experience with reporting tools such as Looker and Tableau
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • You have a strong understanding of data governance, data security, and data privacy best practices
  • You are a problem solver with strong analytical skills
  • You have excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
  • You are a player/coach that fosters a culture of continuous improvement and learning
Responsibilities
  • Manage the data engineering team, provide leadership and guidance, and promote a culture of continuous learning and development
  • Lead internal and external engineering resources, providing direction on requirements, architecture, and prioritization of data engineering projects to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to understand business needs and develop data solutions that support business objectives
  • Develop and enforce data governance policies and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse
  • Design and implement data transformation pipelines to clean, normalize, and enrich data in the data warehouse
  • Develop and maintain reporting solutions to enable data-driven decision-making, using reporting tools such as Looker and Tableau
  • Develop and maintain data integration pipelines using tools such as FiveTran, Simon Data, and Google Analytics
  • Develop and maintain data warehousing solutions using cloud-based technologies such as SnowFlake and BigQuery
  • Develop and maintain tagging solutions using Google Tag Manager to enable effective tracking of user behavior on the company's digital platforms
  • Monitor and optimize data infrastructure performance, including data pipeline latency, data processing time, and query performance
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and apply them to improve the company's data infrastructure and processes
  • Collaborate with C-suite executives and other organizational leaders to understand their data needs and provide strategic guidance on data engineering initiatives that align with business goals
