Requirements
  • 3-5 years of pertinent experience in a related field
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering – preferably electrical or mechatronics
  • Proficient with various industrial instrumentation (Load cells, hall effect, IR sensors, various transducers, etc.)
  • Experience with industrial safety equipment (light curtains, area scanners, interlocks, etc.)
  • Knowledge of machine safety standards is an asset (ISO13849-1/2, CAN/CSA Z434, CAN/CSAZ432 and similar)
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (ex: Modbus/TCP, Modbus/RTU, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET)
  • Experience with different PLC and VFD brands (A&B, Siemens, ABB, etc.).
  • ABB experience preferred
Responsibilities
  • Develops exceptional firmware for PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems, bringing industrial automation to life with expertise and precision.
  • Takes the lead in ensuring the smooth operation of industrial automation systems, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills.
  • Collaborates closely with teams and contractors to guarantee the successful implementation of automation systems that meet and exceed expectations.
  • Provides technical support to our dedicated operations and maintenance teams, ensuring seamless functionality and optimal performance.
  • Designs awe-inspiring industrial automation systems that leave a lasting impression, considering every aspect of the project.
  • Acts as a skilled troubleshooter, resolving issues efficiently and effectively when automation systems encounter obstacles.
  • Utilizes expertise in panel design for industrial automation and control systems, creating visually stunning and functional solutions.
  • Fearlessly evaluates risks for systems requiring SIL2/3 ratings, prioritizing safety above all else.
