- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or educational equivalency for licensing.
- One year of licensed practical nurse experience.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider certification from the American Heart Association.

- Perform point-of-care testing according to policies and procedures when required.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

- Stand and walk continuously.
- Lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 0–25 pounds frequently.
- Sit, reach, and use a keyboard for data entry frequently.
- Use vision and depth perception for near and far distances and identify and distinguish colors frequently.
- Use smell frequently to detect or recognize odors.
- Use hearing frequently to receive oral communication, distinguish body sounds, and hear alarms or malfunctioning machinery.
- Lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 25–50 pounds occasionally.
- Lift or move patients occasionally.
- Bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, grip, and perform repetitive foot, leg, hand, and arm movements occasionally.
- Crawl and run rarely.
