  • Five plus (5+) years professional experience implementing complex strategies and plans
  • Relevant formal education in public administration, business administration, public policy, or planning
  • Experience working across multiple institutions to implement strategies or plans, especially in government or the non-profit sector
  • Strong management skills with demonstrated ability to provide technical assistance
  • Background in fields like Health and Human Services, Economic Development, Housing, Public Safety, Administration, Legal, or Compliance
  • Ability to problem solve and make decisions in a timely manner
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and undertake several critical projects at one time
  • Commitment to diversity, inclusion, equity, and accessibility
  • Prior lived and/or work experience in communities facing historical oppression
  • Familiarity with issues affecting marginalized groups in New York City
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a diverse team environment
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a primary liaison to portfolio agencies
  • Provide technical assistance and strategic guidance to portfolio agencies
  • Ensure successful execution of racial equity plans by portfolio agencies
  • Help develop and tailor the racial equity planning process for portfolio agencies
  • Give ongoing support to agencies to meet racial equity goals
  • Spread developments in racial equity policy, programs, messaging, and ideas
  • Serve as an interagency representative of the Office
