Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • 3 years of civil engineering experience, preferably within water industry or technical Direct Sales
  • Experience with Salesforce, or other CRM, preferred
  • Expertise with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to persuade, motivate and empower clients and co-workers to action
  • Strong communicator able to take initiative and be disciplined to function independently
  • Competitive, goal-oriented, self-motivated, good listener and manage time wisely
  • Ability to process complex information and unique client needs quickly
  • Must be able to travel to client and vendor sites more than 50% of the time
Responsibilities
  • Define and execute sales strategies and tactics to meet or exceed annual sales plans and quotas for pipeline infrastructure products
  • Generate and qualify leads for subsequent development
  • Perform key account planning to identify, develop, and close business opportunities
  • Develop technical specifications that support product position and facilitate operational efficiency
  • Ensure all sales activity and opportunities are up to date in Salesforce, our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the products offered by UGS and document market intelligence
  • Conduct sales calls and make product/service presentations to meet customer needs
  • Recommend proposal and contract prices
  • Develop bid strategy, create bid estimates, and close orders
  • Provide input into development of marketing communications and product portfolio decisions
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual variance reporting to compare actual results against budgets and forecasts
