It enables us to screen hundreds of millions of compounds in minutes and return quantitative data on each compound. Vast, high purity, and high diversity compound libraries are rapidly iterated using best-in-class chemistry to unlock chemical insights at the scale necessary to power AI-driven drug discovery.
Position Summary
Terray Therapeutics is seeking a creative and experienced Automation Software Engineer. As an integral member of our platform team, the candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining the software systems that power our wet-lab automation. The position will report to and work in partnership with the Director of Automation to design, develop, and maintain custom applications in support of laboratory automation across the organization.
The core responsibilities of this job will be:
- Application-level programming (Python, C#/.NET, Java).
- Interface with commercial software systems via APIs/SDKs.
- Create device drivers for laboratory system integration.
- Maintain and iterate currently implemented code for systems control, imaging and data acquisition.
- Integrate laboratory platforms with information managements systems (LIMS)

Qualifications include:
- 5+ years of proven expertise with programming languages (Python, C#/.NET, Java), preferably in a laboratory automation environment.
- Demonstrated excellence in creating end to end applications with state-of-the-art GUIs, thread management, and device level control.
- Demonstrated expertise in building device drivers and control software for laboratory equipment.
- Demonstrated expertise integrating with external software using APIs/SDKs.
- Ability to apply existing skills to unfamiliar situations to address new challenges
- Familiarity with Micro-manager microscope software, ImageJ, and Beanshell scripting

Compensation Details
$132,000-$165,000 (annually) depending on seniority; participation in the Company’s option plan; 3% 401K contribution; full benefits.
