Manage and maintain the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB)

Ensure CMDB alignment with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM), CI Classes, and relationships
-
Use the Identification and Reconciliation (I&R) engine to maintain data accuracy
-
Develop, document, and enforce governance policies for CMDB data quality and compliance
-
Integrate configuration data from external sources using APIs, MID servers, and other tools
-
Support ServiceNow administration and development efforts (e.g., scripting, workflows, integrations)
-
Collaborate with IT, security, system owners, and external partners to gather and validate data
-
Document CM plans, SOPs, reports, and dashboards to track data health and performance
-
Assist in the implementation of ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and ITOM features
-
3–5 years of experience in Configuration Management
-
2+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB
-
Strong understanding of CSDM, CI Classes, and relationship modeling
-
Familiarity with ServiceNow’s Identification and Reconciliation (I&R) engine
-
Experience with ITIL-based Configuration Management and Change Management processes
-
Working knowledge of CI data integrations and ServiceNow development
-
Ability to define and maintain governance policies and audit/reconcile CI data
-
Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
-
Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB Health Dashboards

Familiarity with ServiceNow Event Management and ITOM Visibility
-
ITIL v3/v4 Foundation (strongly preferred)
-
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (preferred)
-
ServiceNow CMDB or Discovery Certification (highly desirable)
-
Security+ (DoD 8570 compliant) (highly desirable)

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Active DoD Secret Clearance (required)
