Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with data software development
  • Experience with AlayaCare’s stack (Python, PHP, Vue.JS, AWS)
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, or related fields
  • Strong skills in DBT, SQL, Python, Snowflake, Iceberg, Spark, and AWS (ECS, S3, Aurora, RDS)
  • Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, and Flink
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Expertise in dimensional data modeling and semantic layer design
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, cost-effective, and reliable data pipelines for structured and unstructured data
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements and ensure alignment with product and customer success teams
  • Architect and implement data storage solutions (data lakes, warehouses, real-time processing systems) and supporting cloud infrastructure
  • Optimize pipelines for performance, scalability, cost-efficiency, and automation
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all systems
  • Evaluate and adopt new tools, technologies, and processes
  • Partner with DevOps and engineering teams for seamless deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Document workflows and processes for knowledge sharing and maintainability
  • Stay current on industry trends in data engineering, ML, and cloud computing
  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineers
