Requirements
  • A university or college diploma in human resources, organizational development, training, communications, management, hospitality, or a related field is required.
  • Relevant experience in learning and development, employee engagement, employee experience, internal communications, or human resources is required, ideally in a service environment.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating groups, delivering training, and presenting to different audiences is required.
  • The candidate must be able to design, adapt, and deploy learning programs, activities, and tools that meet organizational needs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English are required.
  • Good proficiency with technology tools and communication, collaboration, and training platforms is required.
  • A strong service orientation and sensitivity to employee experience, aligned with luxury hospitality standards, are required.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation abilities, including the ability to mobilize different audiences and generate engagement, are required.
  • The candidate must be able to build trusted relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong interpersonal intelligence and the ability to positively influence teams and leaders without direct hierarchical authority are required.
  • Creativity, initiative, and the ability to propose innovative solutions supporting learning, organizational culture, and the Talent and Culture experience are required.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted partner and ambassador for learning and development within the hotel.
  • Facilitate brand and Fairmont culture training programs.
  • Coordinate and facilitate onboarding and orientation days for new colleagues.
  • Collaborate with leaders to identify development needs and support the implementation of suitable learning solutions.
  • Support leader development by coordinating and facilitating training sessions, workshops, and development initiatives.
  • Track mandatory and compliance training and work with leaders to maintain required completion levels.
  • Track training activities and contribute to measuring participation, effectiveness, and impact.
  • Design, adapt, and deploy learning activities and tools for the hotel.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and support leaders in developing their teams.
  • Help create a distinctive and consistent employee experience aligned with the Fairmont service promise and luxury standards.
  • Develop and coordinate initiatives that promote engagement, belonging, and participation among colleagues and leaders.
  • Participate actively in monthly and annual recognition programs and committees.
  • Coordinate recognition and engagement events with the Talent and Culture team and internal partners.
  • Support diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives and their associated committees.
  • Contribute to community initiatives, volunteer activities, and fundraising campaigns supported by the hotel.
  • Remain present in the workplace to understand colleagues' and leaders' lived experience and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Act as an ambassador for the Fairmont brand, luxury culture, and organizational values through assigned programs and initiatives.
  • Support leaders and teams in adopting the brand culture, values, and expected behaviors.
  • Help align the talent experience with the desired customer service experience.
  • Contribute to the Talent and Culture internal communications strategy and execution.
  • Support the use and optimization of internal communication and engagement tools, including campaigns, surveys, forms, and automations.
  • Develop and coordinate content for different internal communication channels.
  • Collaborate on communications and content highlighting colleagues, leaders, achievements, and hotel initiatives.
  • Ensure communications under the role's responsibility reflect Fairmont's culture, tone, and brand image.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with educational institutions and other relevant partners.
  • Represent Fairmont Le Reine Elizabeth during school visits, educational activities, and events showcasing hotel careers.
  • Contribute to employer-brand initiatives and collaborate with the Talent and Culture team on initiatives to attract, onboard, develop, and engage talent.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in the hospitality industry, luxury sector, or a strongly customer-experience-oriented environment is an asset.
