BorgWarner named to Corporate Knights' 2026 Global 100, USA 25 Most Sustainable Corporations. * Second consecutive year BorgWarner was included in the Global 100 * One of only three companies within the Cars and Trucks Manufacturing peer group in the USA 25 Most Sustainable Corporations Auburn Hills, Michigan, March 18, 2026 - BorgWarner, a global product leader in delivering innovative and sustainable mobility solutions, has earned a spot on the Corporate Knights' Global 100 index and the USA 25 Most Sustainable Corporations list for its sustainability excellence. This marks the second consecutive year BorgWarner has been named to the Global 100. The 2026 list was published in January with BorgWarner ranking first in the auto components industry, number eight within the cars and trucks manufacturing peer group, and third among automotive companies with headquarters in the United States. The inaugural list of Corporate Knights' USA 25 Most Sustainable Corporations was published in March, and BorgWarner ranked 21st overall and third within the automotive industry. Both lists were created using three equally weighted KPIs: sustainable revenue, defined as the percentage of total revenue from sustainable products; sustainable investment, defined as the percentage of a company's total investment in sustainable projects or research; and sustainable revenue momentum, defined as the compound annual growth rate in sustainable revenue. "We are honored to be named to the Corporate Knights' Global 100 and USA 25 Most Sustainable Companies lists. These recognitions highlight our team's skillsets and dedication to innovating products that meet the clean mobility needs of our customers," said Joseph Fadool, President and CEO, BorgWarner Inc. BorgWarner Secures 800V Integrated Drive Module Award for European REEV

BorgWarner secures 800V Integrated Drive Module award for European REEV. * By MT Bureau * February 12, 2026 American powertrain major BorgWarner has been awarded a contract by a European original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to supply an 800V Integrated Drive Module (iDM). The system will support a Range Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV), with mass production scheduled to commence in 2029. The iDM is a system incorporating a single-electric-machine design that provides both generator and drive functionality. The module operates alongside an inverter, two clutches and a dual-mass flywheel. It is paired with the customer's internal combustion engine. The system includes energy-efficient generator functionality and an all-wheel-drive mode. By combining two REEV functions into one product, the module aims to optimise vehicle architecture. The integrated inverter utilises Viper power switches and dual-side cooled power module technology. This platform is designed for high-performance electric drive applications to manage high-voltage and high-current requirements. Dr. Stefan Demmerle, Vice-President, BorgWarner Inc. and President and General Manager, PowerDrive Systems, said, "Securing this program award underlines BorgWarner's strength in electric drive technology and system integration. With the China team taking the lead and collaborating with a global team, we have created a highly integrated solution that balances performance, efficiency, and packaging. We are proud to support our customer with innovative technology for its next-generation range extended vehicles." BorgWarner maintains in-house capabilities across electric motors, drivelines, power electronics and software. The company intends to use its manufacturing footprint to support the development of the global energy vehicle market.

BorgWarner wins first 48V electric cross differential programme with Chinese OEM

BorgWarner has secured its first 48-volt electric cross differential programme with a leading Chinese original equipment manufacturer, marking the company's entry into 48V torque management systems for electric vehicles. The electric cross differential is designed to dynamically control torque distribution between wheels, enhancing vehicle handling and traction across various driving conditions. The 48V architecture offers improved energy efficiency, optimised component costs and support for higher-power applications compared to traditional systems. The technology is engineered to adjust slip control in real-time, supporting vehicle stability during high-speed driving, acceleration and cornering. In low-friction conditions like ice or snow, the system detects wheel slip and reallocates torque to wheels with better traction. The programme expands BorgWarner's electric vehicle technology portfolio in China's growing market.
