  • Two to five years of experience in mechanical design, industrial equipment general arrangements, equipment setting, and piping plans, elevations, and isometrics, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • Experience with three-dimensional computer-aided design in Plant 3D, including modeling industrial equipment such as boilers, chillers, and pumps and routing pipe, duct, and cable trays in a three-dimensional environment.
  • Experience with laser scanning of industrial sites, working with point clouds, and stitching and aligning scans.
  • Experience formulating Navisworks models from baseline point clouds and using Edgewise within the point cloud.
  • Experience creating plan and elevation drawings from three-dimensional models for equipment and piping layouts.
  • Experience extracting piping material takeoffs from three-dimensional models.
  • Experience working with vendor STEP files and incorporating them into three-dimensional models.
  • Experience entering pipe specifications into Plant 3D so that isometric piping drawings show the correct bill of materials.
  • Two-dimensional AutoCAD experience with equipment and piping layouts, P&IDs, PFDs, riser diagrams, and other two-dimensional drawing formulations.
  • Experience creating general arrangement drawings, equipment setting drawings, piping and pipe support drawings in orthographic and isometric formats, P&IDs, and PFDs.

  • Maintain scope documents, schedules, budgets, and quality information throughout project execution.
  • Follow the Project Execution Plan and update the lead engineer or project manager on upcoming items.
  • Reconcile scope, schedule, and budget issues by maintaining project documentation such as change request authorizations, telephone confirmations, meeting minutes, and needs lists.
  • Discuss scope, schedule, and budget issues with the lead or responsible engineer and project manager and document those discussions.
  • Meet with customers to discuss design-related questions when needed.
  • Ensure the information required for assigned tasks is available so projects proceed on schedule and within budget.
  • Work with clients, industries, and technical issues across projects.
  • Work overtime and travel when required by a project.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

ITAC provides engineering, construction and maintenance services for industrial facilities.
