Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field is required.
  • At least 12 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, including 3–5 years in a leadership capacity, leading large-scale cybersecurity implementations, is required.
  • Experience leading large-scale organizations and security programs by identifying opportunities and influencing the broader organization to improve security is required.
  • Expert-level experience in multiple security domains within enterprise and cloud infrastructures is required to develop threat detection and mitigation strategies.
  • Advanced experience leading large-scale cross-functional programs, defining strategy, roadmaps, and milestones, and managing technical and non-technical stakeholders is required.
  • Experience leading senior staff, influencing and collaborating with external team members, and advising senior management on risk management is required.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Information Security Manager, Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control, AWS Security, or Google Cloud Platform Security are required.
  • The candidate must be able to balance high-quality delivery with demanding timelines.
  • Up to 10% travel is required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive security engineering roadmap aligned with business objectives and risk appetite.
  • Oversee the design, review, and implementation of security architecture across network, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
  • Hire, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of security architects and engineers, fostering accountability and excellence.
  • Identify security gaps and security tool needs, and lead the requirements, evaluation, and adoption of security tools to improve automation and efficiency.
  • Conduct threat modeling and vulnerability management to prioritize security investments and address potential breaches.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance teams to promote Secure by Design practices across the organization.
  • Build relationships with staff to promote Security by Design throughout the engineering teams and wider business.
Desired Qualifications
  • Expert-level knowledge of AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform security.
  • Expertise in vulnerability and risk management across public cloud and enterprise environments.
  • Expertise leading advanced threat detection and prevention programs in a cross-functional environment.
  • Expertise developing security patterns with architectural recommendations.
  • Advanced experience in software development practices, automation, and basic knowledge of artificial intelligence.
