Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • A Certified Public Accountant credential is required.
  • At least 5 years of progressive United States generally accepted accounting principles experience at global technology companies is required.
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel skills are required.
  • Experience leading global accounting teams through high-growth periods in fast-paced environments is required.
  • Strong organization, individual initiative, intellectual curiosity, personal accountability, and commitment to driving results are required.
  • Ability to work independently and with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and end-to-end quantitative thinking are required.

  • Ability to meet and drive monthly, quarterly, and annual department deadlines is required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the global month-end close and consolidation process to ensure accurate and timely monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
  • Partner with Revenue Operations to oversee software revenue and associated costs for forecasting, quoting, and billing.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly client invoices by email or through client portals.
  • Own cash application for invoices paid by United States and Canada clients.
  • Perform routine weekly collection outreach to clients.
  • Ensure client legal documents are executed before invoicing and paying commissions.
  • Process accounts payable invoices and required payments for Canada and Australia in various systems.
  • Review United States, Canada, and Australia payroll to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
  • Support bonus and commission calculations and prepare quarterly statements for distribution.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly intercompany entries for international subsidiaries using various foreign exchange rates.
  • Prepare and post journal entries as needed.
  • Ensure all balance-sheet accounts are reconciled properly and timely each month.
  • Process monthly sales tax return filings and maintain the relationship with the sales tax firm.
  • Lead accounting- and tax-related audits and associated compliance reporting to meet deadlines cost-effectively.
  • Implement and improve accounting systems, internal controls, and reporting.
  • Support various audits as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience implementing accounting-related systems and experience with Power BI are preferred.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions or venture-capital-backed/private-equity-backed companies is a bonus.
