Sine Engineering provides connectivity solutions for UAVs that stay reliable in GPS-denied and spectrum-challenged environments. Its approach is software-first with upgradeable modules and over-the-air updates, plus modular hardware designed for quick replacement to enable mass production. They focus on affordability and ease of deployment, serving UAV manufacturers rather than end-user drones, with experience from counter-UAS. Their goal is to help drones operate effectively in challenging skies and enable widespread, low-cost deployment in defense and aerospace.

Ukraine's Sine Engineering secures first $200M US-Ukraine fund investment for GPS-free drone navigation tech

Ukrainian startup Sine Engineering has secured the first investment from the US-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund (URIF), beating over 200 applicants. The Lviv-based company develops miniaturised, satellite-independent navigation devices for drones using time-of-flight technology that functions under GPS jamming conditions. Founded in 2022, Sine Engineering has grown from five employees to 200 and now supplies over 150 Ukrainian drone manufacturers. The company also develops the Pasika platform, enabling coordinated multi-drone operations in contested electromagnetic environments. The URIF, jointly managed by Ukraine's Economy Ministry and the US Development Finance Corporation, launched in December 2025 with plans to reach $200 million by end-2026. Two additional investments are planned for 2026, focusing on dual-use technologies, minerals and energy projects.
