Requirements
  • High School or GED
  • 4-Year degree in mechanical engineering or construction management
  • Or 2-Year technical degree with work experience in HVAC 2+ Years
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and balance several projects at a time
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for building automation system design for new construction and retrofit projects
  • Interpret design drawings and specifications
  • Submittal development and preparation consisting of control wiring diagrams, airflow diagrams, piping systems diagrams, BAS equipment selection, floor plan generation, sequence of operation, valve schedules, and damper schedules
  • Complete or review BAS submittals, as-builts, bid documents, and mechanical drawings as requested
  • Prepare material requisition lists for project managers
  • Provide application engineering support, product research, and technical documentation to field technicians, project managers, and installation contractor as needed
  • Integration of multiple vendor systems to the building automation system
  • Engineer multiple projects
  • Meet with contractors and consulting engineers regarding project design and submittal approval
  • Attend job meetings, as required, to fulfill contract requirements
  • Assist with customer and associate training
  • Offer support to project managers on projects between $20K and $5M
  • Assisting with managing the clients’ expectations and communicating needs to the project team
  • Ensuring harmonious working relationships with our key partners
  • Identifying and communicating risks and roadblocks to the successful completion of the project and work with management to resolve
  • Ensuring quality of the end solution through implementation of our standard project and development processes
  • Must be customer service oriented and be able understand & manage numerous client/customer relationships
  • Communicates effectively with other team members concerning problems, obstacles, issues, and information needs
Desired Qualifications
  • Understanding of layout, design, fabrication, and installation of HVAC systems
  • Microsoft Products
  • OSHA 10 Certified
  • Valid driver’s license and in good standing
