Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of qualified Medical Assistant course; Medical Assistant Certification valid in the state of WA required.
  • 1+ Year patient care experience in a clinical setting.
  • Computer literate, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic medical records systems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients, and outside contacts with good diplomatic skills, including strong conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be able to pass required background checks and drug tests, and comply with up to date with all other testing, screening and credentialing as required.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure implementation of all clinic policies and procedures; recommend policy and procedure updates and changes as necessary​
  • Ensure security of medications, patient records and any other documentation required by the DEA and/or state agencies.
  • Ensure that the clinic protects the rights and confidentiality of all patients to provide each patient with the required medical and clinical care.
  • Maintain a high-quality patient care environment by cleaning, preparing, and stocking all examination rooms, lavatories and treatment areas in accordance with established standards.
  • Assist in the care, cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of medical equipment and instruments.
  • Establish and maintain inventory supply schedule and storage of necessary items and supplies.
  • Review patient schedules and EMR, in advance of the patient visit to identify outstanding medical reports, in order to report the results to the attending medical provider on staff.
  • Prepare patients for their visit, examination procedure and/or treatment in accordance with established workflows.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, required screenings.
  • Prepare appropriate paperwork for procedures, laboratory work, tests, or referrals for providers.
  • Perform UA collections including observed as indicated by multidisciplinary team.
  • Perform blood draws as indicated and per policy.
  • Perform EKG's and other medical office testing and procedures as indicated.
  • Maintain a strong policy knowledge of all applicable federal, state, and local rules, laws and regulations and maintains compliance.
  • Familiar with standards required by Board of Health, OSHA and the application of such as knowledge and compliance with HIPAA policies and procedures.
  • Participate in Federal and State substance abuse training and continuing education as needed to safely and effectively perform in the position.
  • Interact with all staff in a positive and motivational fashion supporting the company’s mission.
  • Support the mission with all other duties as assigned!
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous patient care experience including EKG’s, blood draws and UA collections is preferred; Opioid Treatment Program experience will be given hiring preference.
