Requirements
  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant finance, economics, or related discipline is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the mutual fund or portfolio manager business, focused on institutional client account support, is required.
  • Microsoft Office competence is required, with strong emphasis on Excel and macro proficiency.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and project management skills, with strong attention to detail, are required.
  • Strong verbal and written stakeholder communication skills are required.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise day-to-day operations to ensure the team meets company standards for performance and productivity.
  • Lead the day-to-day liaison with the Middle Office outsource provider.
  • Oversee daily order management, trade execution, trade communication, reconciliation, and other daily trading activities.
  • Monitor and analyze the outsource provider’s recording of client custodian cash positions for trading, liability calculations, and cash requirements.
  • Sign off on daily cash and trade packages.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for resolving team or client-related issues and ensure timely, satisfactory resolutions.
  • Analyze reconciliations of client custodian holdings to third-party vendor systems.
  • Coordinate and oversee client monthly holding reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure cross-functional alignment and smooth operations.
  • Review sub-advisor and custodian invoices for payment.
  • Support special projects.
  • Provide support to the Manager of the Trade Operations Team as needed.

Marsh beats Q1 estimates with $7.6B revenue, $3.29 EPS as organic growth hits 5%

Marsh reported Q1 revenue of $7.6 billion, up 7.6% year-over-year, beating the consensus estimate of $7.38 billion by 2.88%. Earnings per share came in at $3.29, compared to $3.06 in the prior-year quarter, surpassing the consensus estimate of $3.21 by 2.46%. Key metrics showed mixed performance against analyst expectations. Consolidated organic revenue growth of 5% exceeded the 3.5% estimate, whilst consulting organic growth of 5% topped the 4.4% forecast. However, Guy Carpenter's organic growth of 2% fell short of the 4.2% estimate. Geographically, Marsh's EMEA division generated $1.21 billion in revenue, up 14.1% year-over-year and beating estimates. Mercer consulting revenue reached $1.66 billion, an 11% increase that surpassed the $1.58 billion consensus.
