Who You Are
We’re looking for a freelance writer with a background in financial services. You must have experience curating, developing, and publishing editorial and long-form finance content and a portfolio to back it up.
Your investigative mindset means you’re constantly looking for a new story to tell. You take pride in building credibility and brand awareness for innovative companies in the bank and fintech space. You navigate financial discussions with ease. You ask questions, help push content in intelligent directions, and are a critical thinker, not just a writer.
What You’ll Do
- Produce a wide variety of long-form content pieces, including financial memos, byline articles, blog posts, ebooks, white-papers, speaker abstracts, and more
- Collaborate with the creative director of copy and various product marketers to execute on target, on brand, and on point content
- Easily shift between a variety of brands, voices, tones, and target audiences
- Conduct industry research to build relevant, timely thought leadership pieces
- Meticulously proofread and edit pieces before submitting them for review
- Embrace change and adapt to strategies on the fly
What You’ll Need
- This is a contract role that is not eligible for any BHG employee benefits
- Extensive experience writing for financial services
- An online portfolio of thought-provoking writing samples
- An ability to create content for several different brands in the financial space
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An unmatched ability to proofread and edit your own content
