Requirements
  • 2+ years of industry experience
  • MS or Ph.D. expected, ideally in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Strong coding skills in Python, Numpy, Pandas, and related libraries
  • Experience with optimization tools such as Gurobi, CPLEX, or LocalSolver/Hexaly
  • Experience with various machine learning algorithms both supervised and unsupervised
  • Effective data visualization skills with tools like Matplotlib, Bokeh, and Seaborn
  • Ability to write complex SQL to extract and transform data from our MPP database
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex problems into digestible insights
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement robust, scalable optimization algorithms for Roadie’s dynamic logistics platform
  • Apply both commercial and open-source optimization tools to solve combinatorially complex problems
  • Collaborate with software engineers and machine-learning specialists to build self-optimizing systems
  • Run A/B experiments to drive value in untapped areas of growth for our product and markets
  • Identify key questions and develop data-informed opinions on various aspects of the product and business
