Requirements
  • Availability to work typically Monday through Friday, with additional evening and weekend hours as required by business needs.
  • Experience as a Director of Sales or in a senior management role within a busy sales team, ideally in a branded environment.
  • At least two years of experience in the service and hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge of local and United Kingdom markets, particularly Corporate and Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions experience.
  • Strong strategic planning skills and the ability to develop strategies that support business plans.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards and attention to detail.
  • Ability to present information clearly to various stakeholders and adjust the level of detail for the appropriate stakeholder.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the proactive sales team, train team members on best practices, and support them in delivering excellent results.
  • Deliver new direct business and pipeline aligned with business needs, and manage budgeted sales across all segments, particularly Group, Corporate, and Luxury.
  • Work on the annual sales and marketing plan and ensure return on investment is tracked.
  • Generate new business leads through avenues including social media.
  • Support the renegotiation of existing annual agreements in line with hotel key performance indicators.
  • Report and track sales using performance reports, targets, key performance indicators, and sales objectives.
  • Identify sales problems and work to resolve them.
  • Work independently within the department and with the wider hotel team to consolidate board sales packs and monthly commercial reviews.
  • Continuously improve processes and identify opportunities to streamline efficiency.
  • Maintain contact with the above-property sales team to ensure alignment with IHG’s overall strategy.
  • Travel to road shows, corporate events, and client visits as required.

  • Corporate and Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions experience.
