Job Title: Manager Data Engineering (multiple openings)
Job Location: Riverwoods, IL
Job Type: Full Time
Duties: Assemble, lead and mentor a staff of technically competent, thoughtful and customer-centric technology experts. This includes ensuring the team adheres to sound principles of data engineering within their technical domain, applying consistency to technical solutions, embracing and sharing best practices, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the team. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Business or related field and 6 years of experience in the job offered or in Software Developer; Application Lead-related occupation.
Position required skills: Position requires experience in the following: Use Ab-initio to design and develop transformations to cleanse, transform, summarize, and integrate data from multiple sources to multiple targets; Develop real-time data ingestion and stream-analytic solutions by leveraging technologies, including Ab-initio, Snowflake, Teradata, and Python; Perform tuning of SQLs using Snowflake, Teradata, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server databases; Perform code review of ETL designs and graphs to enforce coding standards, best practices, and tool usage within projects; Migrate ETL processes from relational warehouse databases to Amazon Web Services (AWS) based solutions; and Two (2) years of experience with people leadership.
Position eligible for incentives under Employee Referral Program
Rate of Pay: The base pay for this position generally ranges between $149,966 to $211,500. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
