Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university is required.
  • The Fundamentals of Engineering exam must have been taken and passed.
  • The candidate must be able to attain a Professional Engineer license.
  • A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in an engineering discipline is required.
  • Demonstrated experience with engineering design, analysis, and construction administration is required.
  • Experience with project coordination and multidisciplinary team collaboration is required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead process instrumentation and control systems tasks for municipal water and wastewater management systems, power plants, industrial automation systems, microgrid control systems, combined heat and power systems, and utility, university, campus, and industrial facilities.
  • Evaluate existing systems and participate in the design of plant control and instrumentation systems for industrial applications.
  • Work with Distributed Control Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, P&IDs, I/O lists, instrument data sheets, cable schedules, procurement specifications, logic diagrams, and SAMA diagrams.
  • Conduct bid evaluation, provide construction support, and work closely with the site engineering group during installation and commissioning of control systems.
  • Collect, interpret, and analyze data from reports, drawings, and tests to support project planning and design development.
  • Prepare and review design computations and quantity estimates in accordance with project requirements and engineering standards.
  • Prepare detailed project documentation, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Direct designers and technicians in converting engineering designs into working drawings while ensuring technical accuracy.
  • Evaluate design alternatives and make recommendations based on technical analysis, cost-effectiveness, and project requirements.
  • Participate in client communications and onsite and offsite meetings concerning project specifics, technical requirements, and deliverable status.
  • Contribute to probable design cost estimates and assist in preparing detailed project budgets aligned with project scope.
  • Respond to client inquiries and requests for information in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain project documentation, including calculations, correspondence, meeting minutes, and technical memoranda.
  • Maintain adherence to the company’s quality assurance and quality control standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • A Professional Engineer license is preferred.
