Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the engineering or construction industry.
  • Proven experience in successfully securing projects across diverse project types and client portfolios in the Mid-Atlantic region.
  • Strong understanding of the engineering and construction market, particularly in sectors such as water/wastewater treatment, mass transit, and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint, and MS Teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic plans to penetrate new markets, expand our client base, and assist with data gathering and research supporting business development and marketing plans.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients and understand their needs, challenges, and objectives to tailor solutions and offerings effectively.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, including Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and other solicitations. Coordinate with internal teams to develop winning strategies and responses.
  • Facilitate strategic decision-making processes regarding project pursuits, ensuring alignment with opportunity viability and ROI goals.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitors.
  • Lead the development of compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches for prospective projects.
  • Monitor and track business development activities, including pipeline development, proposal submissions, and win/loss analysis.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Represent Techno at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.
