Requirements
- BS in Project Management, Construction Management, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 5 to 8 years of experience in pursuits, estimating, and project controls in transmission
- Ability to build and maintain a detailed understanding of VEIR technology including design specifications and constraints
- Ability to understand customer needs and translate those for the Product and Technical teams
- Strong command of business software, including MS Office and CRM platforms like Salesforce
- Ability to travel and spend significant time on the road
Responsibilities
- Leading revenue pursuits (bids and proposals, solicit funding sources)
- Drive value and cost development efforts to create profitable and cost-competitive solutions
- Engage with subcontractors to obtain quotes to support the Company’s service offering
- Own the emerging global project portfolio
- Build relationships with global strategic partners and customers
- Collaborate closely with application engineering professionals to advance prospects through the sales process
- Liaise with the technical team on product development and specifications and partner EPC organizations
- Hire, train, and lead the future direct reports and future team members
- Willingness to travel as appropriate
VEIR is developing High Temperature Superconductor (HTS)-based transmission lines with an evaporative cooling architecture that delivers 20 times the cooling power per kilogram of coolant flow compared to conventional approaches, enabling reliable, low loss, cost-effective HTS-based transmission over long distances in narrow rights-of-way, connecting the lowest cost renewable power to where it’s needed.
