TheSalesforceITSDeveloper reports to the Lead Salesforce ITS Developer andworks closely with Institutional Advancement (IA) staff and other departments to ensure the CRM applications of Salesforce, ascend, Linvio Events and PaymentConnect, Conga Composer, GiveCampus, and MCAE are configured accordingtobusinessuserneeds.Theindividualrespondstouserrequestsregardingapplicationissuesandenhancementrequestsand,under the direction of the Lead Salesforce ITS Developer, designs, develops, tests, and implements solutions for Salesforce and the suite of associated applications. The individual also assists with testing delivered application enhancements.
This is a hybrid role and will require working at our Waltham, MA campus.
Job Responsibilities:
The Salesforce ITS Developer works under the direction of the Lead Salesforce ITS Developer to develop technical solutions to support and enhance CRM applications, including but not limited to Salesforce, ascend, Linvio Events and PaymentConnect, MCAE, Conga Composer, and GiveCampus (85%)
- Assists with designing and developing business logic solutions using Salesforce Apex coding, Salesforce Flows, and Lightning Web Components.
- Works with our functional partners in Advancement Alumni Relations, Student Affairs, Athletics, University Events, and other departments to develop solutions for enhancing the out-of-the-box functionality delivered with our event management application, Linvio Events.
- Review and respond to user requests and develop an action plan to resolve issues.
- Participates in enhancement projects and product upgrade processes (requirements, documentation, systems configuration, test documentation).
- Initiate and follow through on support cases logged with each application vendor.
- Provide day-to-day functional and technical support for Salesforce, Ascend, Conga Composer, Linvio Events and PaymentConnect, GiveCampus, and MCAE, providing scalable and reusable solutions where possible. Review, respond to, and resolve user-generated help tickets in the TeamDyanmix service management system, following established SLA parameters.
Training and Knowledge Transfer (10%)
- Engage in knowledge transfer to CRM team members and system users for Salesforce, ascend, Conga Composer, Linvio Events and PaymentConnect, GiveCampus, and MCAE.
Other (5%)
- Participate in ITS-related activities as needed
Position Requirements:
BA/BS required.
Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
2+ years of Salesforce developer experience is required
2+ years of related higher education or fundraising work experience is preferred.
Experience with Salesforce, including configuration, Apex coding, flows, and API integrations is required.
Knowledge of Lightning Web Components and HTML/JavaScript/CSS is desirable. Experience with managed packages is preferred.
Knowledge of constituent management, event management, and direct marketing software is preferred.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to work well under pressure and understand the urgency of University deadlines.
Experience maintaining a high degree of discretion with data.
Functional knowledge of Institutional Advancement core business processes is required.
