Requirements
  • BS or higher in electrical/electronics/systems/mechanical engineering or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in automotive systems engineering, with 3+ years of experience in developing automotive system design, using models-based system principles, for the following domains: Body Control (closures, safety, comfort, lighting, passive entry)
  • Experience in electrical systems and subsystems requirements creation, and proficiency of requirements management software ( IBM DOOrs, Siemens Polarion, or similar)
  • Experience diagnosing CAN, LIN, or Ethernet network issues
  • Experience in MATLAB, Python, C++ or equivalent tools for modeling and analysis
Responsibilities
  • Develop system design and integration compatibility according to the product requirements and imperatives such as cost, mass, time latency, functional safety, and cybersecurity among others
  • Support new features or implement improvements required based on vehicle development and validation activities
  • Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, firmware development, and firmware validation teams to determine the integration actions, guarantee proper system-level definition, and engage the design and development teams to ensure the relevant subsystems are designed to fulfill system requirements, interfaces, and interactions to achieve specific vehicle functions
  • Create novel networking interfaces for next-generation connected vehicle applications
  • Create System FMEAs, develop diagnostics, and fault reactions to ensure safe vehicle operation
  • Lead the triage of issues, including log reviews, code reviews, and HW investigation
