Requirements
  • Strong Client Care experience with a consistent record of professionalism, compassion, and clear communication.
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced specialty and emergency veterinary hospital.
  • A mentorship mindset and genuine interest in helping teammates learn, develop, and succeed.
  • Sound judgment with the ability to determine when to resolve an issue independently and when leadership involvement is needed.
  • Strong organization, communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across Client Care, clinical, and hospital leadership teams.
  • Dependability and flexibility to provide consistent evening and overnight leadership coverage.
  • At least one year of service with Ethos Veterinary Health.
  • At least six months in the current position.
  • Good standing with no current disciplinary action.
  • Any additional internal transfer or promotion requirements outlined in the Ethos Veterinary Health Employee Handbook.
Responsibilities
  • Provide visible, hands-on leadership and real-time problem solving for the Client Care team during overnight operations.
  • Support phones, lobby flow, client communication, patient intake and discharge, and other Client Care workflows.
  • Coordinate communication between Client Care, Emergency, Specialty, Nursing, Pharmacy, and hospital leadership.
  • Assist with onboarding, training, mentoring, and reinforcing department workflows and service expectations.
  • Provide timely, constructive coaching and feedback while escalating concerns to Client Care leadership when appropriate.
  • Monitor staffing, shift coverage, breaks, workflow balance, and team communication throughout the shift.
  • Support escalated client concerns while helping maintain a compassionate, professional, and consistent client experience.
  • Reinforce Client Care procedures, identify workflow gaps, and partner with leadership on process improvements, department communication, documentation, and follow-up.
