Requirements
  • Maintain an active relationship with Jesus Christ and support the ministry through prayer and actions.
  • Have 2-5 years of relevant experience in event planning, marketing, and/or operations.
  • Demonstrate the ability to interact with senior leadership.
  • Have a college degree or equivalent coursework and experience.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in event-related software, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual meeting platforms, with the ability to learn the in-house database.
  • Have strong knowledge of event planning and scheduling, vendor coordination, onsite execution, and post-event follow-up.
  • Have experience drafting event communications, managing project timelines, and tracking budgets.
  • Have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Be able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
  • Be willing to work remotely in the DC/MD/VA area, travel up to 30%, and meet applicable driving record and insurance requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Advocacy team in planning and executing events and meetings.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including timelines, budgets, venues, food and beverage, equipment, contracts, speakers, entertainment, travel, and other operational requirements.
  • Manage the logistical and administrative components of event invitations and tracking.
  • Represent the organization onsite at Advocacy events, including in-prison events; monitor event execution, resolve common issues, and escalate more complex matters to the supervisor.
