Position Summary

The BIA Developer II designs and supports data solutions that power reporting, analytics, and business operations. This role integrates data from sources like databases, APIs, and core business applications to automate processes. It combines backend data engineering with front-end dashboard development to deliver insights and improve efficiency across the organization.

What will you do in this role?

• Integrate data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, and third-party applications) and build automated workflows for extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and support backend datasets.
• Use SQL and Python to extract, manipulate, and transform structured and semi-structured data (e.g., JSON, XML, CSV).
• Build integrations between core business applications to enable seamless data flow and process automation across systems.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for data processes, reports, and integration workflows.
• Monitor and resolve issues from the ticketing system with appropriate urgency.
• Participate in technical projects, business initiatives, and ad-hoc task requests.

What do you need to succeed in this role?

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a business environment focused on data integration, reporting, and/or process automation.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with MS SQL Server.
• Strong working knowledge and practical experience with Power BI, including Power BI Service / 365 administration and dataset modeling; familiarity with Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
• Experience with the Microsoft stack, including Power Automate, SharePoint, and Azure services (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Key Vault, Data Bricks).
• Ability to develop Python scripts for API-based data integration and automation.
• Proven ability to build and maintain ETL workflows, with clear documentation of technical processes.
• General understanding of networking concepts, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience or familiarity with accounting or consulting industry business processes is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the midpoint of the salary range for this role is $85,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
