Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Two years of relevant experience in architecture are required.
  • Two years of experience reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings are required.
  • Two years of experience with Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Enscape, Photoshop, and Illustrator are required.
  • A portfolio may be requested during the interview process.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check, including a drug screen and motor vehicle record check, may be required.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare project documents, including plans, details, and initial setup work.
  • Generate takeoffs for cost estimates and perform architectural calculations, such as square-foot calculations, to support architectural activities involving the design of architectural systems, components, or features.
  • Gather and record product information and cut sheets for cost estimating and specifications.
  • Support studies and reports and assist with routine technical reports or sections of reports.
  • Assist with sheet setup on project drawings, drawing schedules, plans, elevations, sections, details, and specifications.
  • Pick up redline markings on drawings and complete assigned work.
  • Prepare three-dimensional imaging using proprietary software for client and in-house preparations as directed by a supervisor.
  • Learn basic code evaluation procedures and information-gathering requirements for review with a supervisor.
  • Coordinate work with other team members.
  • Perform project work during construction as assigned, including submittal tasks, requests for information, supplemental sketches, and submittal review.
  • Use communication skills for internal team and supervisor communications and assigned presentations.
