Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Seven to ten years of design management experience in mission-critical, semiconductor, data center, or complex commercial projects.
  • Proven success coordinating architecture and engineering partners and subcontractors, closing submittals and requests for information, and aligning base-build and tenant fit-out scopes.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Construction Cloud or Procore and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Lead multidisciplinary design coordination on a hyperscale data center build from concept through construction administration as an owner's representative.
  • Ensure accurate schedules, consistent documentation, and timely closure of submittals and requests for information.
  • Serve as liaison between Project/Construction Management and the architecture and engineering team to maintain design clarity and support timely, cost-aware delivery.
  • Review and help set up Autodesk Construction Cloud or Procore configuration and daily governance, and establish and maintain logical file structures and metadata conventions.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance and maintenance by architecture and engineering partners, and standardize naming, versioning, and distribution workflows.
  • Develop a centralized meeting and action tracker for architecture and engineering partners, the general contractor, and subcontractors to capture decisions, requests for information, submittal status, and assignments.
  • Lead and manage cross-discipline design coordination after initial design and ensure alignment across multiple engineers of record and subcontractors.
  • Drive design clarity and closure of submittals and shop drawings, lead weekly coordination meetings, and publish minutes and actions.
  • Track design packages, narratives, and base-build versus tenant fit-out scope splits, and capture and share lessons learned across buildings.
  • Coordinate customer and tenant fit-out design package integration with the core design.
  • Review and manage the design schedule, ensuring weekly updates, accuracy, phase-gate readiness, and milestone adherence.
  • Align design phase turnover with construction phasing and tenant fit-out to protect the critical path.
  • Manage construction administration processes, including weekly architecture and engineering partner meetings, escalation and resolution of delayed submittals and requests for information, and coordination of site visits with architecture and engineering and quality assurance/quality control teams.
  • Oversee mock-ups and first-of-kind reviews and acceptance criteria to reduce fabrication and installation risk.
  • Provide construction administration reporting and documentation according to project requirements and owner standards.
  • Lead change management workflows for potential change orders, bulletins, and requests for information with cost impact; train general contractor teams on contract expectations and entitlement standards; and partner with Cost Management for pricing reviews.
  • Validate design-related cost changes and process value-engineering options, documenting rationale and approvals.
  • Ensure quality assurance and quality control design issuance and narratives clearly categorize changes at the drawing-sheet level for traceability.
  • Manage and communicate the overall permit strategy, submissions, and responses, and coordinate authorities having jurisdiction inspections and certificate-of-occupancy milestones.
  • Log and document major decisions and events, and maintain action registers, requests for information, submittal metrics, and issue logs through design and construction administration.
  • Support quality assurance and quality control activities tied to design intent and acceptance criteria, and assist field teams with design clarifications and punch-list readiness.
  • Maintain a design risk register covering interfaces, late vendor data, and long-lead items, and drive mitigations with stakeholders.
  • Serve as the liaison from Project/Construction Management to the architecture and engineering team, lead meetings, and communicate design decisions, constraints, and impacts.
  • Provide weekly project reporting on schedule, deliverables, open issues, and approvals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Management.
