Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience with hardware integration on spacecraft or flight-structures programs, including AIT, structures integration, or systems engineering with hands-on hardware responsibility.
  • Two to three years of hands-on experience with deployable structures, gossamer systems, or large space mechanisms; directly relevant domain experience is required.
  • Ability to read and maintain interface control documents, interface matrices, and assembly-level requirements.
  • Experience working across subsystem teams to resolve interface discrepancies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to occasionally work extended hours or weekends during critical periods.
  • Direct experience with low Earth orbit satellite component development, design, and in-orbit activities.
Responsibilities
  • Own assembly-level coordination between structural, radio-frequency, and deployment subsystem teams while tracking interface compliance.
  • Maintain and drive resolution of Integrated Antenna Structure interface control documents, ensuring parameter handoffs between teams are defined, current, and verified.
  • Serve as the primary on-site technical representative for the remote Integrated Antenna Structure Lead Engineer during integration activities, test campaigns, and anomaly resolution.
  • Track assembly-level requirements through hardware verification artifacts using requirements-management and verification-and-validation closure tools; flag gaps before they become schedule drivers.
  • Support and coordinate antenna deployment and structural test campaigns, including pre-test review, test-execution support, and post-test data review.
  • Develop and maintain integration procedures, assembly checklists, and interface-verification records.
  • Identify and escalate integration risks early, including incomplete interface definitions, undocumented design changes, and test-article discrepancies.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with product-lifecycle-management and configuration-management tools such as Windchill, Teamcenter, or Arena, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with requirements-management tools such as DOORS or Jama, or equivalent.
  • Experience running or coordinating test campaigns for flight hardware.
  • Exposure to model-test correlation or verification-and-validation planning for structural systems.
