Software Engineer / Robotics internship @ Skyways

At Skyways we are building a new form of air transportation. Some people call it the flying car. We believe fully autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles represent a unique opportunity to move things and ultimately people in new, more efficient ways. Responsibilities

Build a camera tracking system for drones
Scope the project with the help of the team, collect requirements
Produce a trade study, followed by a design doc for a first version
Build the system end-to-end and test it with a test drone
Rinse and repeat to improve on the previous version
Collaborate/communicate with engineering and flight testing
Stretch: build the backend system to collect videos
Stretch: integrate with internal log review tool

Requirements

BSc. or MSc. student in CS, EE, Robotics or Mechatronics
Experience with robotics and programming
Curious and willing to learn
Drive to deliver results
Must be an awesome and friendly individual
Bonus points if you have experience with drones, cameras, servos, telemetry
