About the opportunity
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a vital member of the senior executive team and a strategic partner to the CEO, who is responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the organization, ensuring financial health, and driving growth initiatives. You will lead the Accounting, Tax, FP&A, Treasury, Business Analytics, Insurance, and Commissions departments, overseeing Plexus’s fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities. The CFO will provide financial insights to support decision-making and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
What you will achieve
Strategic Leadership and Financial Direction
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals, market trends, and international expansion.
- Engage with partners and executives to effectively communicate the company’s financial performance, strategic initiatives, and long-term vision.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, offering financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making and drive business growth.
International Expansion
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership to formulate and execute international growth and expansion, evaluating investment opportunities and allocating capital to projects that maximize value.
- Drive all Finance-related components related to international market expansion.
Optimization of Financial Processes and Controls
- Evaluate the company’s capital structure, including debt and equity financing options, optimize the cost of capital, and support long-term growth objectives.
- Analyze financial data and trends across diverse markets to identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiency on a global scale.
Financial Reporting and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance best practices, promoting transparency and accountability, and maintaining ethical standards throughout the organization.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to the executive team, highlighting key financial statements, forecasts, and the company’s overall condition.
Stakeholder Relations and Team Management
- Partner with the Chief Technology Officer to assess emerging technologies and trends that could disrupt the industry or create new opportunities and guide investment in innovation initiatives to maintain competitiveness.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to senior executives, investors, lenders, and regulatory bodies, both domestically and internationally, to provide transparency and insight into the organization’s financial state.
- Lead a high-performing finance team; mentor and develop staff using a supportive, collaborative, mutually respectful approach.
What you have accomplished
- Education and Professional Credentials: Bachelor’s in accounting, Finance, or related field. An MBA and/or CPA is preferred.
- Strategic Financial Management: You have 10-15 years of progressive experience in Finance with a minimum of 5 years as a Vice President experience managing financial operations, management systems, and interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
- Risk Management and Compliance: Demonstrated understanding of financial principles, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Excellent communication skills, with a history of building and maintaining solid relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., executive team) and external stakeholders (e.g., investors, banks, regulatory bodies).
- Team Leadership and Development: Recognized leader for your ability to inspire and motivate a highly performing finance team.
- Merger & Acquisition: Oversaw and managed the entire M&A process for a global organization, from due diligence to post-merger integration.
- International Expansion: You have developed and executed financial strategies for global operations, including capital allocation, foreign exchange management, and international tax planning.
