Requirements
  • Must be a US citizen
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to meet pre-employment requirements including any required physicals, drug screen, and/or background investigation
  • ABET accredited engineering Bachelor’s degree and 20+ years’ experience or a MS with 19+ years’ experience
  • Ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance from the Department of Energy
  • Participation in an ongoing random drug testing program in addition to the pre-employment drug screen
  • Job related pre-placement medical examinations may be required
Responsibilities
  • Provides CNS, Mission Engineering with full time piping design engineering support for facility and production area activities in Cat 2 and Cat3 facilities
  • Provides design output documentation to support major facility modifications and Project Engineering
  • Works with other engineering disciplines and other plant organizations to produce timely design output
  • Requires strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with various clients, production and support organizations, management, and hourly wage employees
  • Must be willing to perform field walk-downs and work in a production environment
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in an NRC or DOE regulated environment is desirable
  • Requires an understanding of Conduct of Engineering, Conduct of Operations, Conduct of Maintenance for facilities operating within a nuclear regulated environment
