Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree, such as a Bachelor of Science, is required.
  • At least one year of professional experience in a clinical laboratory, clinical research, clinical pharmacy, and/or direct clinical practice is required.
  • Proficiency in at least one standard healthcare terminology or coding system, such as RxNorm, LOINC, SNOMED CT, ICD-10-CM, or CPT, is required.
  • Strong logical reasoning skills are required.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain value sets, rule-based logic, ontologies, term mappings, and other content assets using proprietary software.
  • Manage periodic publication processes.
  • Adhere to, improve, and/or define editorial policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist clients with implementation and services delivery, depending on skillset.
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise and thought leadership to the industry through marketing and consultative sales activities, depending on skillset.
  • Engage with clients and/or prospects, with occasional travel when desired and justified as a business need, depending on skillset.
Desired Qualifications
  • A graduate educational degree such as RN, BSN, MSN, or PharmD.
  • Work experience implementing standard healthcare terminologies in applied health information technology.
  • Certification or a degree in a health informatics-related field.
