JOB SUMMARY
Provide engineering support to maintain the controls and information system and the Process Safety Management system. Create and implement new processes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES -
- Maintain the Ignition software.
- Maintain the PLC program, database and Information Systems for production PLC’s.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and instrument problems.
- Design, test, troubleshoot, and oversee implementation of new processes. Design and install retrofits to existing systems.
- Create and implement new strategies and new automation processes to improve process efficiency.
- Maintain quality assurance on the control systems in manufacturing.
- Maintain the controls for facility equipment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor of Science In Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Work Experience
- At least 2 years experience with instrumentation & controls in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
- Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
- Position requires work on extended and /or "odd" or "on call" hours as business needs dictate.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certification / Licensure -
- Professional Engineering License.
- EIT (Engineering in Training) completion.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Proficient in Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000, RSViewSE, Vantage Point, Historian, SQL.
