Requirements
  • At least 5 years of product design experience working on complex applications, ideally in product-led growth, software as a service, or self-serve products.
  • At least 8 years of product design experience, ideally in software as a service, productivity tools, collaboration software, or product-led growth environments.
  • Experience designing in-product discovery, onboarding, sign-up, or activation flows.
  • Exceptional craft in visual clarity, spacing, motion, and interaction polish.
  • Strong interaction design skills and a careful approach to visual polish, hierarchy, motion, and clarity.
  • Ability to design within systems and understand how decisions cascade across surfaces and journeys.
  • Experience partnering with product and data teams to interpret behavioral insights, experiment results, or funnel metrics.
  • Ability to explore edge cases, anticipate constraints, and think beyond the immediate brief.
  • Empathy for first-time users and sensitivity to trust, motivation, and cognitive load.
  • Strong communication skills for helping cross-functional partners make smart, user-centered decisions.
  • A track record of leading growth, monetization, or conversion-focused design work.
  • Deep fluency in funnel thinking, including acquisition, activation, retention, and expansion as a connected system.
  • Strong data instincts, including the ability to read behavioral data, interpret experiment results, and use both to sharpen design decisions.
  • Systems thinking across surfaces, journeys, and user relationships over time.
  • Comfort operating where patterns do not yet exist and playbooks need to be written.
Responsibilities
  • Define user-centered discovery, activation, and monetization experiences across problem-to-success flows, upgrade flows, pricing surfaces, and lifecycle touchpoints, setting patterns that scale across the platform.
  • Work from concept to production, delivering UX, visual design, and prototypes that clarify direction, risk, and value.
  • Use behavioral data as a primary design input, interpreting funnel metrics, experiment results, and user signals to inform design decisions.
  • Design and lead experiments across acquisition, activation, and expansion funnels from hypothesis formation through read-out in partnership with product and data science.
  • Establish reusable growth patterns in the design system that balance clarity, persuasion, and long-term user trust.
  • Partner with engineers to ensure accurate, high-quality implementation of flows and components.
  • Directly manage one to three designers on the growth surface, including regular one-to-ones, goal setting, performance feedback, and career-growth support.
  • Balance individual-contributor output with people leadership while remaining primarily engaged in design work.
  • Mentor designers working on growth-adjacent surfaces and develop their instincts around hierarchy, motivation, friction, and funnel thinking.
  • Contribute to the team's understanding of growth design as a discipline.
  • Champion the relationship between growth quality and product quality.
  • Partner with research, data science, and product to elevate experimentation quality across the organization.
  • Reframe problems at the funnel level to clarify where value is earned or lost and why.
  • Lead workshops or working sessions on pricing, packaging, onboarding, and upgrade opportunities.
  • Collaborate with product, research, and data science to define success metrics, shape experiment hypotheses, and interpret outcomes.
  • Advocate for user trust as a growth asset and model how design maintains that balance.
  • Share approaches for designing discovery, onboarding, and identity flows with peers through critique and collaboration.
  • Partner with research, data, and product teams to improve experimentation quality and understanding of user value signals.
  • Contribute to design excellence where growth and monetization intersect with core product experiences.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with pricing architecture, packaging strategy, or monetization model design.
  • Deep experience mapping and designing activation journeys from first action to genuine value realization.
  • Hands-on experience using artificial-intelligence-assisted tools and vibe coding to prototype growth flows, simulate behavioral nudges, and stress-test funnel logic.
  • Background in organic acquisition or activation funnels at scale.
  • Familiarity with artificial-intelligence-assisted experiences or contextual intelligence in growth flows.
  • Experience working with data science teams on experimentation frameworks or causal inference.
  • History of shaping zero-to-one growth systems or redesigning broken acquisition or retention loops.
  • Experience mentoring or leading other designers, including informally.

Lubeznik Center for the Arts partners with Mural Mania in LaPorte.

Lubeznik Center for the Arts partners with Mural Mania in LaPorte. South Bend Tribune July 6, 2026, 4:46 a.m. ET * Four large-scale murals will be painted in downtown LaPorte during a festival from July 8-12. * The "Paint the Town: La Porte 2026" event will feature four nationally recognized artists. * Guided tours and community events are scheduled to allow the public to meet the artists. LAPORTE - Four large-scale murals are coming to downtown LaPorte in July, bringing a burst of color and creativity to the city's summer season. The inaugural "Paint the Town: La Porte 2026" mural festival is scheduled for July 8-12 and will feature four nationally recognized artists transforming three buildings in just five days, according to a press release. The festival is co-managed by the Lubeznik Center for the Arts and South Bend artist Alex Ann Allen of Mural Mania, who has staged four Mural Mania festivals in South Bend, most recently in 2025. It is supported by the Health Foundation of LaPorte, the LaPorte Urban Enterprise Association and the city. Artists from across the country to participate. The artists, representing California, Texas and Virginia, will bring their unique styles to LaPorte, creating murals that are expected to enhance the city's vibrant atmosphere. "This is the first mural festival organized by Lubeznik Center, and I'm confident it will be a great success thanks to our strong partnerships with Alex Ann Allen, the City of La Porte, LPUEA, and HFL," Janet Bloch, executive director of LCA, said in the release. "When you have terrific partners, it's hard to fail. We are also incredibly grateful to the building owners for their generosity." Guided tours and community events planned. Two guided tours are planned during the festival. The first, led by curator Alex Ann Allen, will take place at noon CT July 10 and will offer visitors a look into each artist's creative process. Participants are encouraged to grab lunch at the Three Guys and a Hog food truck, which will be stationed at Monroe and Lincolnway from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT. The second tour, organized by the LaPorte County Library, will focus on the historic significance of the mural sites. It will begin at 4:30 p.m. CT July 12 at The Firehouse, 910 State St., a new event space donated for the occasion by Dudley Beyler. Beyler is also providing appetizers and music to enhance the festivities. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the artists and organizers. A cash bar and Paint the Town t-shirts will be available. City leaders celebrate public art initiative. LaPorte Mayor Tom Dermody expressed his support for the project, highlighting the impact of public art on the community. "Public art adds beauty, sparks conversation, and helps define the identity of a place. We are thankful to the Lubeznik Center for the Arts and Alex Ann Allen for their vision and dedication to La Porte, and for creating art that will bring people together and add to the vibrancy of our city," Dermody said in the release. As communities throughout Indiana look to the arts to help build their economies, these partnerships offer artists and residents financial benefits, according to the release.
