What believers are saying

  • DOE July 2028 efficiency standards drive $1.6B annual savings, accelerating LED adoption and market growth.
  • Eco-conscious consumer demand surging; Sunco's LED focus aligns with sustainability trends and regulatory tailwinds.
  • HKTDC Lighting Fair partnerships and Hall of Aurora exposure unlock premium brand collaborations and innovation access.

What critics are saying

  • Amazon's AmazonBasics private label captures 40%+ online LED sales with superior pricing and delivery speed.
  • July 2028 DOE standards require 120+ lumens/watt; current inventory risks obsolescence without costly recertification.
  • Import activity collapsed to 1 bill of lading in 90 days, signaling supply chain contraction and stockout risk.

What makes Sunco Lighting unique

  • Direct-to-consumer model eliminates intermediaries, enabling competitive pricing versus traditional lighting retailers.
  • Certified products (FCC, ETL, RoHS) and extended warranties build trust with residential and commercial buyers.
  • Georgia distribution center enables nationwide reach and faster fulfillment than many online-only competitors.

Sunco at the HKTDC International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition)

Sunco at the HKTDC International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition). This past week, Sunco's Product Department just wrapped up an unforgettable few days at the HKTDC International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) in Hong Kong. As a team that lives and breathes lighting innovation, being surrounded by so many passionate creators was a true joy. The team met designers pushing the boundaries of light and space, engineers driving smarter cities, and entrepreneurs bringing bright new ideas to life. What makes the HKTDC Lighting Fair so special. The HKTDC International Lighting Fair is one of the world's largest trade shows dedicated to lighting innovation. Hosted by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), this event draws thousands of exhibitors from over 20 countries. The Autumn Edition showcases everything from sleek residential luminaires to smart-city street-lighting systems and LED innovations. It's where the latest trends in smart lighting, sustainability, and design are showcased - and where big partnerships and even bigger ideas are born. The fair has been around since 1999, and over the years, it's evolved into the place where the lighting industry comes together. From decorative fixtures to high-tech commercial solutions, it's a one-stop event for anyone who loves what light can do. Hong Kong's energy and global connectivity make it the perfect host - it's a crossroads of East and West, tradition and innovation. A little background: The fair, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, is held twice a year in Hong Kong - once in spring and once in autumn. The autumn show has grown to become the largest lighting fair in Asia and the second largest worldwide. Fun fact: This year, the show is in a hybrid "EXHIBITION+" format, combining physical booths with online business-matching tools like Click2Match and Scan2Match to connect attendees globally. Also, there's a dedicated "Hall of Aurora," where hundreds of premium lighting brands display design-driven collections. So, in short: it's vibrant, international, tech-forward, and quite the event if you're into lighting or sourcing. Its takeaways and moments that stood out. Its team spent a few days walking through exhibits, chatting with suppliers, and soaking in creative inspiration. Every conversation sparked something new - whether it was a clever design detail or a completely fresh approach to sustainability. "As a first-time attendee to the show, my first impression is that it was overwhelming," Alfonso Sing, Sunco's product director explained. "There is so much to see and process in a span of just a few days that it is hard to collect and gather all the data and summarize in a couple of words the impact that this can have on the lighting industry and Sunco. Attending the fair gave us early access to these awesome innovations and a chance to catch first-mover advantages or partnership leads." Beyond the tech and trends, its team noted that what really stood out was the sense of community. Everyone there - from small startups to global giants - shared one common goal: to make the world brighter and smarter through light. And being a part of that? Absolutely energizing. Looking ahead. The lighting world is evolving fast, and Sunco Lighting, Inc. is thrilled to be part of that momentum - finding new ways to bring innovation, efficiency, and design together.
