Requirements
  • A real open source track record, such as maintaining a popular repository or making significant contributions to one.
  • Ability to maintain a repository end to end, including triaging issues, reviewing pull requests, cutting releases, and writing documentation.
  • Experience building parsers, crawlers, browser tooling, or developer libraries.
  • Ability to make decisions about scope, API design, and what gets merged.
  • Experience owning or maintaining a repository of meaningful scale.
Responsibilities
  • Own the main Firecrawl repository end to end by triaging issues, reviewing pull requests, cutting releases, and writing documentation.
  • Keep the self-hosting experience easy to clone, run, and maintain reliably.
  • Build new context primitives, starting with the anydoc document parsing engine.
  • Determine the scope and API design for what belongs in a primitive.
  • Build toward the factors that help an open source project spread organically.
  • Ship code and review pull requests every week.
Desired Qualifications
  • Understanding of how open source drives adoption and why some projects gain traction.
  • Experience as a maintainer, former founder, early startup engineer, or builder with impressive public work.
