The Role:
Do you enjoy working with numbers and people?
As a Pensions Fund Accountant, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge within our friendly Pensions Administration team, while supporting our service delivery to both clients and individual members.
This role can only work as a hybrid position between your home address and any of our Aptia office in Glasgow.
What you’ll be doing:
- Efficiently prepare accurate accounting information and complete assigned tasks in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for low complexity schemes, as allocated by supervisor.
- Perform pension calculations with the support of your team.
- Enter pensions data or answer inquiries.
- Work as part of a team, collaborating to continuously improve processes and service to clients
- Be accountable for the standard and quality of own work.
- Ensure own work is peer reviewed by a more senior accountant.
- Complete all associated routine tasks following agreed business procedural requirements, including accurate time recording, use of standard templates, peer review, e-filing, and WIP reporting.
- Participate in mandatory training sessions
What we’re looking for:
- GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English.
- Commence AAT/ACCA examinations.
- Computer literate in Word/Excel.
- Ability to work in a team, as well as independently.
- Ability to follow processes and organise daily tasks, as allocated.
- Communicate professionally and effectively to build relationships with internal teams
