Requirements
- At least 5 years of end-to-end exposure in data warehousing design, architecture, and solution implementation.
- Proven experience performing analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation activities for J2EE applications using industry-accepted methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with BEA WebLogic version 8.X or higher, Eclipse, JUnit, Spring, UNIX/Linux, architectural and design patterns, XML including JAXB, XSD, SAX, and DOM, Java persistence frameworks such as JDBC, Hibernate, JDO, and iBATIS, Java presentation frameworks such as Spring MVC, Struts, and JSF, JMS/MOM, DHTML, and AJAX.
- Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture concepts.
- Experience in a high-volume transaction-processing environment, including solving non-trivial performance-related problems.
- At least 2 years of client-interfacing experience.
- In-depth knowledge of retail and institutional security trade processing from setup through settlement in a brokerage setting, with emphasis on back-office operations including settlement and clearance and position keeping.
- At least 4 years of strong UNIX and shell scripting knowledge, along with XML/XSD knowledge.
- Experience with SharePoint, Excel/MS Access, Visio, and PowerPoint.
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL and query performance tuning.
- Experience in data modeling and logical and physical database design.
- Experience with code-management tools such as SVN and code migration methodologies and release-management activities.
- Experience leading a development team, interacting with customers, gathering requirements, designing existing and new web-based systems, and performing evaluation and analysis.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Completion of a related college or university degree, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities

Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Broadridge, ADP BPS, or Impact.
- Good knowledge and experience in capital markets, especially operations technology dealing with settlements and stock-record areas.
- Hands-on exposure to data-integration tools and technologies such as Talend, Informatica, and Ab Initio.
- Sound understanding of data-presentation-layer tools and technologies such as Business Objects, Cognos, and advanced Excel reports.
