Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
  • Two to four years of relevant experience is required.
  • Work experience in accounting, finance, banking, or equivalent education and training is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, is required.
  • Analytical skills and an understanding of finance and investing concepts are required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Responsibilities
  • Issue university wire and tax payments and reconcile the operating cash balance daily.
  • Record ad hoc bank activity in the university's Workday enterprise resource planning system.
  • Perform daily corporate cash management and forecasting activities.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret cash flow and other financial data.
  • Determine daily cash balances available for investment and initiate fund movement transfers.
  • Allocate and invest excess cash balances in accordance with policy.
  • Prepare and analyze investment and cash management schedules and related ad hoc reports.
  • Help project annual investment income for senior leadership reporting.
  • Provide analytical support for monitoring the university endowment's portfolio composition, asset allocation, and overall investment strategy.
  • Identify and compile data for manager and market analysis.
  • Participate in due diligence for prospective opportunities and oversight of existing managers.
  • Create and maintain investment models and tools.
  • Gather information, review third-party documents, and assess valuations to support financial reporting.
  • Review, analyze, and reconcile performance reports prepared by third parties.
  • Assess reports to identify trends and takeaways relevant to team discussions.
  • Work with university consultants to conduct annual interviews of campus merchants and third-party vendors and document process deficiencies, controls, and policies.
  • Track credit card fees by merchant ID and provide monthly expense allocation data to the Controller's Office.
  • Maintain and analyze credit card transaction data for internal purposes.
  • Manage the university's inventory of merchant IDs and PCI compliance training program.
  • Assist the Director of Treasury Operations with the annual Self-Assessment Questionnaire and Attestation of Compliance for PCI compliance.
  • Prepare monthly liquidity reporting for submission to the university's rating agencies.
  • Assist treasury leadership with schedules, forms, and presentations for the university's rating agencies.
  • Reconcile debt interest payments, initiate wire payments, and record transactions in Workday.
  • Track and analyze university banking fees against industry standards.
  • Track the university's earnings credit rate and short-term investment rates.
  • Monitor and assign values to university stock gifts and produce related financial reports.
  • Execute investment trades received from SMIF and REIT student groups with BNY Mellon.
  • Track and maintain the Treasury Operations Office's annual supply budget.
  • Provide reporting to treasury leadership and administrative and general office support to the Treasury Operations Office.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
