Requirements
  • 3+ years professional experience with expertise in manufacturing engineering or production planning (General Assembly or Battery Assembly), including ability to achieve stable production processes
  • Deep knowledge of vehicle engineering processes
  • Bachelor's/ Master's degree in mechanical, electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Skillful at organizational navigation and cross-functional collaboration at all levels; ability to develop effective partnerships and relationships
  • Creative and strategic problem solver who exercises sound judgment
Responsibilities
  • Your goal is to improve the design of the vehicles according to the needs of manufacturing to enable stable and ergonomic processes that are feasible for high volume manufacturing
  • Identify, decide, and implement technical requirements from manufacturing to influence product design
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, production control, and engineering to provide product design and product concepts according to the needs of General Assembly and Battery Assembly
  • Use CAD-Data-Analysis, Simulations, and virtual tests to identify risks for high volume manufacturing
  • Identify and implement ideas to improve product design to ensure stable assembly processes and minimal rework in series production
  • Ensure that all products are designed to meet assembly requirements and that product design is feasible for high volume manufacturing
  • Take responsibility for all communication between production planning assembly and engineering department as Single point of contact for all vehicle design related topics
  • Use cross departmental collaboration to meet and exceed company goals and objectives in the field of design for manufacturing
  • Coordinating activities within the team that outline and achieve project goals
  • Providing instruction and guidance about required techniques and regulations
