Requirements
  • High School diploma, or equivalent, plus 2 years of experience in quality relevant field
  • Experience with purchase order, contract, specification and drawing interpretations.
  • Print reading and GDT experience.
  • Basic PC skills including knowledge of MS Office products.
Responsibilities
  • Inspects purchased materials, assembled components, and final assemblies for conformity to standards, specifications, and processing requirements.
  • Inspects for proper identification and dimensions using such measuring devices as micrometers, gauges, and calipers.
  • Visually inspects for obvious defects or damage such as corrosion, cracks, dents, scratches, and pits.
  • Verifies specifications using contracts, purchase orders, prints, drawing or inspection instructions, and checklists.
  • Inspections may involve or three-dimensional projections using inspection equipment such as bore and telescope gauges, and optical comparators.
  • Makes accept/reject decisions on inspected goods. Maintains records of results.
  • Crosstrain across quality functions.
  • Perform First Article Inspections.
  • Interact with DCMA and other customer representatives.
